    • Cut the hot and neutral wires
    • Cut the socket lead wires
    • Remove the ballast
    • Connect the input wires to the output wires
  • How do I know if my ballast is T8 or T12?

    It is easy to find out whether your ballast is T8 or T12. You can identify the ballast type from the mark at the end with the prongs. There you can also find the rated power of the lamp.

     

    Generally, the T8 LED comes with 32 watts of power and 40 watts for T12. T12 LEDs are larger than T8 LEDs, usually of 1 ½-inch diameter.
